Thousands expected to attend Silicon Beach’s biggest tech startup event of the year

Los Angeles, Calif. — TechDay, the largest startup event series in the United States, is returning to Los Angeles for the fourth annual TechDay LA. This one-day exhibition will take place on September 27, 2018 at The Reef and is the city’s biggest expo and conference exclusively for the technology startup community.

TechDay LA will showcase the latest products and services available from hundreds of the most exciting startups and scale ups in the market. Exhibitors include The Honest Company, Headspace, Oscar, Managed by Q, Mobidev, and many more. Exhibitors will present live demonstrations of new, innovative solutions for many industry sectors, including fintech, edtech, healthtech, hardware, e-commerce, and more.

A portion of the exhibiting community will also have the opportunity to receive hands-on pitch mentorship from seasoned investors, prior to demoing and presenting their products on the TechDay Demo Stage, where attendees are free to hear detailed product demonstrations and investment pitches.

The event will also introduce the new TED-style TechDayTalks program. These15-minute sessions will be delivered by successful startup founders, key figures in the financial community, and influencers from both local and global organizations. The talks will act as a platform for proven innovators to share their ideas and learned wisdom with the TechDay audience. Featured speakers this year include leaders from Verizon, Forbes, CBRE, and Qualcomm, to name just a few.

“I think [LA] is an underserved and emerging talent bed,” said Matthew Ross, Product Partnership Lead at Verizon, and TechDay Talks presenter. “I’m excited to see the latest coming out of that world. What better way to experience that than to see the best LA has to offer in one shot, at TechDay LA?”

“I think TechDay is a great opportunity to meet some of the best visionaries in the business,” Ross continued. “You are taking a group of smart, dedicated people who are focused on solving problems and changing the world and putting them in the same room. That creates the ideal circumstances to induce spontaneity; to learn and expand on your realities.”

“TechDay brings together a very diverse spectrum of companies, talent and capital,” said David Freitag, Global Advisory & Transaction Services at CBRE. “The war for talent in LA is being felt now more than ever, and this event provides a perfect forum for companies to align with the best people.”

TechDay LA would also like to thank their sponsors and community partners whose generosity and support have helped bring this day of innovation to Silicon Beach. Sponsors include, but are not limited to, Amazon Web Services, Moo, Downtown Center Business Improvement District, Justworks, Califia Farms, Dotsquares, and Aircall.
